Reports to: Cocke County High School Principal, Dr. A.C. Willis
Job Goal: Engage students in learning the standards of first level high school math. Develop strong mentor relationships with students. Deliver focused well-planned instruction to empower students to succeed in subsequent math classes. Prepare students for success in college and career preparation programs in high school and in attaining their own post-secondary goals. Collaborate with members of the department in developing a successful Algebra I program, selecting strategies based on students’ individual abilities and needs. Expect a schedule that includes three teaching blocks and a planning block with small class sizes. Welcome opportunities to grow professionally and as a member of a large school community. Perform related duties assigned by the principal.
