Title: Cocke County High School (Spanish) Foreign Language Teacher

Reports to:  Cocke County High School Principal, Dr. A.C. Willis

Job Goal: Essential duties and responsibilities include teaching Spanish to high school students.   Instruct and engage students through lectures, discussions, using visual aids, and other effective teaching methods for student comprehension. Be passionate about preparing our students academically and in character for college and life-long success. Prepare course objectives and outline for course of study following curriculum guidelines or requirements of state and school. Carefully monitor data regarding student progress and make necessary instructional adjustments to ensure student success. Administer tests to evaluate student progress, record results, and develop reports to inform parents of progress. Maintain classroom standards, including keeping attendance records, ensuring discipline in the classroom, assign lessons, and correct homework in a timely manner. Communicate regularly with families as partners in the education of their children. Welcome opportunities and actively participate in faculty and professional meetings, educational conferences and teacher training workshops. Perform related duties assigned by the principal.
