Reports to: Cosby High School Principal, Shawna Murrell

Job Goal: Engage students in learning the standards of high school biology classes. Develop strong mentor relationships with students. Deliver focused well-planned instruction to empower students to
succeed in subsequent science classes. Prepare students for success in college and career preparation programs in high school and in attaining their own post-secondary goals. Collaborate with members of
the department in developing a successful science program, selecting strategies based on students’ individual abilities and needs. Expect a schedule that includes three teaching blocks and a planning block
and homeroom. Welcome opportunities to grow professionally and as a member of a small school community. Perform related duties assigned by the principal. Embrace the experience contributing to
the success of a unique K-12 public school, located at the edge of the Smoky Mountains.
