Instructor, Residential and Commercial Construction – CCHS

Location: Cocke County High School CTE Center Start Date: January 2, 2023
Qualifications: High School diploma or above and Five years of full-time work experience out of the past eight years. Or: Associate’s degree in building construction and one year of work experience in endorsement area and industry certification. Or: Bachelor’s degree in building constructions and industry certification.
Reports to: CTE Director and Cocke County HS Principal
Job Goal: The instructor prepares learners for careers in designing, planning, managing, building and maintaining the building environment. Students employed in this cluster work on new structures, restorations, additions, alterations and repairs.
Instruction is delivered through three major components:
- Classroom/Laboratory Instruction
- Student Leadership (Skills USA))
- Work Based Learning
Endorsement Name and Code: A minimum of three of the following endorsements: 701: Electrical, 702: Concrete/Masonry, 703: Plumbing, 706: Carpentry, 707: HVAC
Minimum Education Requirements:
- High School diploma or above and Five years of full time work experience out of the past eight years.
Or:
- Associate’s degree in building construction and one year of work experience in endorsement area and industry certification.
Or:
- Bachelor’s degree in building constructions and industry certification.
Industry Certifications: OSHA10/30
