The Remote Learning Contract is due to be signed at the student's base school by July 31, 2020.
STEP 3: Complete the Online Registration Form
The Online Registration Form is due Sunday, July 26, 2020 at midnight.

Remote Learning FAQ

Will my child still be able to walk at graduation?
Yes, all students, remote or traditional, will still be able to walk the stage at graduation as a proud student of their high school.

Will my child be able to participate in sports?
Yes. You will be responsible for transporting students to and from school for practice. Students who make the high school football team will need to take 4th period football physical conditioning and then stay for practice. Parents will be responsible for transportation each day to the 4th period class.

Will my child still be able to participate in ROTC, Band, Choir, Welding, Auto body, obtain CAN certification?
Yes, for our CTE courses and other specific programs, a 9-12 student can choose Option 3: Hybrid Plan. Parents would be responsible for transportation to and from school for the class. If the class is first period, the student may ride the bus to school and then be picked up by the parent if it works out that way.

Will my child still be able to participate in field trips?
No, the point in going remote is to minimize exposure. In examining the COVID-19 pandemic there will likely be very few if any field trips allowed for anyone.

Will my child be able to take class pictures?
Yes, you will be notified by the school on what day pictures will be taken so that your child can have school pictures and be a part of the school annual.

Will our school calendar be the same as traditional pathway students?
Yes, you will still get fall break, spring break, and other holidays as they occur in the calendar. The only difference will be during intermittent closure. Traditional pathway students will transition to learning in google classroom. Remote learning students will proceed as if nothing has changed.

Will we get snow days?
No, remote learning is designed to be independent of outside factors from adverse weather.

Is the wifi password at the schools the same?
Yes, most of them should be open without a password.

What happens if a student finished their work early for the day?
We encourage them to have free choice reading and enjoy a book, engage in other programs such as Study Island.

Will there be an orientation?
Yes, there will be an orientation to remote learning at the base school. You will be given a time and date to attend and can attend virtually. You must attend this orientation.

Will there be technology help?
Yes, we will be establishing a technology help line for parents in the future.
