26 Sep Scoop From The Coop – Week of Sept 26th 2022
Thank you all for making the School Pulse rollout a success last week. We have reached over 600 students that have opted into the program.
We should be on a regular DEAR bell schedule all week.
We enter Homecoming week on Monday. As always, there will be a few distractions along the way. Below is a list of the dress up days:
Monday-Zoom Day: Dressy on top/relaxed on the bottom
Tuesday-Little Miss/Mr. Day: ex. Little Miss Grammar Police
Wednesday-Generations Day: Freshmen-babies, Sophomores-toddlers, Juniors-Parents, Seniors-senior citizens
Thursday-Anything but a Backpack
Friday-School Spirit Day
We are still planning to have the Homecoming Parade on Friday afternoon. The TENTATIVE schedule is as follows:
Regular bell schedule
Students participating in the parade will need to leave to set-up early
Students will report to 4th block
2:00 release students to parking lot locations on map that will be provided
2:10 parade begins
2:30 parade ends/students make their way to the gym for a pep rally
Kona Ice will be in the student parking lot for students to buy slushies while watching the parade.
There will be a homecoming dance in the cafeteria on Thursday night from 7:00-9:00 followed by a bonfire at the ROCK.
****There is a hurricane heading toward Florida currently. Be aware that the weather resulting from the remnants of the hurricane in East Tennessee could influence outdoor activities occurring Friday.
Graduation date and time has officially been set. It will be Saturday, May 20, 2023 at 11:00 AM.
****Food City Bucks-It is still a thing. Food city shoppers can link the school of their choice via the FC app. This is an easy way for CCHS to receive money. I encourage you to do this and to also encourage your families to do the same. Schools must be re-linked each year. In the app go to MY ACCOUNT, and then to MY SCHOOL BUCKS, choose the school you want to ling receipts to.
