Scoop from the Coop – Week of Dec 12

  • Parents, thank you for your patience during the events that unfolded on Friday.  It was a trying time for everyone involved.  The timing of the situation provided a challenge and I believe the faculty and staff rose to the occasion to make sure your students were safe during the entirety of the day.  As always, you trust us with your most precious assets 180 days a year and we take that responsibility seriously.  As with many situations, things did not run 100% smoothly.  However, we use those opportunities as a learning experience.  I would like to personally thank our SRO, Dan Williams, our Administration, faculty, and staff for their efforts to maintain a safe environment at CCHS on a daily basis.
  • There will continue to be some make-up EOC testing this week in addition to the US History EOC on Tuesday.  Please give a special thank you to Mrs. Brawley, Mrs. Vick, Mrs. Holt, and Mrs. Asbury (and anyone else involved) for planning, implementing, and managing the craziness of EOC testing.
  • Please remind your students that student supervision is required at all times.  They must remain in the classroom that they are assigned.  Many find it necessary to roam the hallways and do not see this as a big deal.  If Friday taught us anything, accountability of students is needed for a safe building on a daily basis.
