The Curriculum and Instruction Department coordinates a collaborative effort of educators within Cocke County Schools to develop quality instructional programs. Our goal is to include all stakeholders who engage our students in the learning process.
We acknowledge the unique talents and abilities of each student and strive to provide instructional support systems that allow for their academic, emotional, social and physical growth. We believe academic success occurs as we develop growth in the whole child, rather than viewing academics as solely an instructional process.
The Curriculum and Instruction team in Cocke County Schools is also charged with the evaluation of current instructional programs to determine the areas for improvement. As these areas are identified we are able to develop new strategies for improvement, provide professional development for our educators, and continue to monitor our methodology for ways we can mold our instructional practices to better meet the needs of Cocke County students.
